Dr Sridhar Vaitheswaran, MD, MRCPsych is the assistant Director & Consultant Psychiatrist, Dementia Care in SCARF (DEMCARES), Schizophrenia Research Foundation (India) – SCARF, Chennai, India. He is a clinician interested in applied research in dementia and geriatric mental health in low- and middle-income countries. He runs a clinic and an in-patient facility for the elderly with mental illness, including dementia, in SCARF Hospital, Chennai.

An Electrical Engineer and an MBA from the Faculty of Management Studies of Delhi University. He has 4 decades of experience in configuring and delivering solutions to large corporations in India, W. Europe, Asia Pacific as well as the United States in areas as diverse as Process Design, Knowledge Management and Technology Based Training. He is a Consultant and Faculty in areas such as Personal Effectiveness; Leadership of Teams; Leadership of Change & new Initiatives and Innovation & Design Thinking. He has also been a Subject Matter Expert with SHRM and an empaneled Faculty with Harvard Business School Publishing. Shyam works with the leadership teams of business organizations as well as research & educational institutions – to help them articulate, deploy and leverage their Vision: compelling Purpose, Business mandate and Cultural DNA. He was the first Associate Dean of Executive Education at the Indian School of Business, Hyderabad. He has led the design and delivery of Leadership Development initiatives for more than 120 different organizations worldwide. In his early 60s he lives in Coimbatore, India.

An engineer by training, Air force officer by profession, teacher and trainer by aptitude, writer by passion and social worker by choice. He looked after his wife suffering from Alzheimer’s for twelve years and since 2017, has been involved in spreading awareness about the disease, and has written two books on the subject. He is Founder Chairperson of ADRAG-India (Alzheimer Dementia Rotary Action Group).

Established Best Dementia Care Home in Kottayam, Kerala as a commitment to the Society to help the vulnerable dementia patients to receive the best quality of life. Impassioned about working with Dementia and devoted to revolutionize the Dementia care strategy in India.

He is also the Chairman of CII task force for Seniors, Co-chair NatHealth senior care vertical, board member of ASLI (Association of Senior Living organizations in India) and a Director on the Boards of Sheares Healthcare India Holdings (a Temasek company) and Medica Synergie Pvt. Ltd. (a hospital chain in East India).

Prior to that, in her corporate stint of over 25 years, she worked in the areas of media strategy, advertising and marketing research in UK, Singapore and India. In her last outing, she was India head of Qualitative Research and Shopper Insights at TNS/Kantar. Her educational qualifications include an MBA, BA Math, BSc Psychology and PGD in Integrative Psychotherapy.
Mechanical Engineer and Management graduate. He has over four decades of corporate experience in the oil and gas sector. He retired as Chairman of Indian Oil Corporation Ltd. in 2017 and was later the CEO of a mega project in Maharashtra. He has recently settled in Coimbatore. Mr. Ashok has introduced and led a lot of transformative initiatives in the oil industry including the significant PM Ujjwala Yojana, of providing LPG access to BPL families leading to social transformation and earning global appreciation. Highly respected and consulted on matters of policy, he is also an acclaimed speaker in several international and national fora. A people’s person, he is now a mentor engaged in Leadership development. He is a recipient of the Scope Award for Leadership from the Hon’ble President of India and also Business Today Best CEO in 2017.
